Are you caring for a relative with a serious illness
or age-related issues?
“There are only four kinds of people in the world. Those who have been caregivers. Those who are currently caregivers. Those who will be caregivers, and those who will need a caregiver.”

Caregiver Tips and Tools Workshops
Free workshops providing personal and practical resources to help you and your family
These free, two-hour long, local workshops are held at churches and community facilities. Topics include self-care, family communication, community agencies, support systems, advance care planning and much more! Workshops are customized to the unique needs of the group and I allow plenty of time for questions. Email me today to find out the details for the next scheduled event or to schedule a workshop for your group.
Individual Therapy for Caregivers
Feeling stressed, anxious, overwhelmed?
Caregiving is incredibly challenging and often takes a heavy toll on your physical and emotional health. Caregivers tend to focus on the health of their loved one and neglect their own needs. Research shows that nearly half of all caregivers experience symptoms of depression.
I specialize in working with caregivers to address the demands of their special situations. Individual counseling will help you cope with the complex emotions you deal with every day. I recognize the difficulty caregivers face when trying to attend appointments, so I offer telehealth (video-based) options. Call me today to find out how I can serve you and your family: 919-912-5736
Caregiver Resources
Johnston County Agencies
I keep a list of local agencies that provide assistance to caregivers. Not all of them apply to every situation, of course. Send me an email if you would like a copy. In the meantime, check out my article on 5 Steps for Healthy Caregiving.

My grandmother and my daughter sharing a precious moment
My beloved grandmother died October 8, 2018. I am so thankful that my daughter had the opportunity to get to know her great grandmother. <3
